OUR STORY
2nd Generation Family-Owned Business
Marty Cassidy moved his family to Long Beach Island from Philadelphia in 1968 and soon started fishing out of Barnegat Light. He then decided to open up a fish market in 1976 in Viking Village so the locals and visitors could enjoy the fisherman's catch. The business has remained in family ever since.
VIKING VILLAGE
Since the start, we have called Viking Village home. Viking Village is a seafood production dock that produces the finest, sustainably and wild-caught product of the USA. Working closely with Viking Village and the vessel captains we are fortunate to carry the freshest seafood on Long Beach Island. Viking Village was started in the 1920s by Norweigan fishermen, since then the tradition has lived on while things are everchanging. One of the most familiar parts of Viking Village is Cassidy's Fish Market which has always been committed to buying local and selling local - always fresh.
